Over the past 9 years, Gtech have pushed the boundaries of innovation in floorcare and garden products. Finding new ways to help you keep your home and garden looking their best,so you can sit back, relax and enjoy your surroundings. It all started in 2001 when Gtech founder, Nick Grey wanted to develop a lightweight and agile floorcare appliance that would be so much easier to use than a traditional and cumbersome vacuum cleaner. He came up with the SW01 - a cordless electronic floor sweeper, and soon to be award winning design for the best new product at the UK Housewares awards 2004.The success of this original design was instant, with the SW01 and later, the Mk II version (SW02) selling on a global scale, from America to Japan, people all over the world were finding the benefits of Mr Grey’s unique design. 2003 saw the first cordless garden power tools to emerge from the Gtech design house, based at our HQ in Spetchley, Worcestershire. Indeed, all of our garden and floorcare products are patented, designed and developed here in the UK, by British engineers.The garden products followed the same formula that made the floor sweepers such a worldwide hit with customers – lightweight, cordless, powerful and easy to use, they too took off and appealed to customers as their innovative features such as he extendable telescopic handles and rotating heads meant they found cutting their grass and hedges had suddenly become a much simpler task.
